The 2023 Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Forum was held, and participating experts expressed the need to promote the deep integration and development of new generation information technology and industrial economy
On the afternoon of September 5th, the 2023 Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Forum was held at the Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) International Convention and Exhibition Center. The forum has set up themed speeches, achievements release, high-end dialogues, and other links to gather multiple forces from industry, academia, research, and finance and utilization to jointly discuss the deep integration of new generation information technology and industrial economy development, and promote high-quality development of the digital economy.
Ding Haiyu, Vice President of the Research Institute of China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “5G-A Assists Industrial Internet Innovation and Development”. He shared the technological exploration of 5G-A empowering the development of industrial internet from capability integration, green lightweight, and performance excellence, and introduced the latest research and development achievements of China Mobile Research Institute in smart and simple networks, synesthesia integration, and passive IoT. He stated that China Mobile will further leverage its technological and platform advantages, continue to pool resources from various sectors of industry, academia, and research, continue to promote the evolution of 5G-A technology, and accelerate the commercial landing of 5G-A.
Ren Lei, a professor at Beihang University and a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, gave a speech on the theme of “Industrial Internet: Towards Intelligence”. He stated that in recent years, emerging industrial AI technologies based on the new generation of artificial intelligence, such as industrial big data intelligence, industrial edge intelligence, industrial cloud edge collaborative intelligence, and industrial digital twin intelligence, have continuously emerged with independent innovation achievements, and are deeply integrated with typical industrial Internet application scenarios like personalized customization, intelligent production, networked collaboration, and predictive operation and maintenance. Especially the disruptive innovation brought by the AI big model this year has brought a huge impact on the future of industrial internet. Based on the solid foundation of industrial internet technology and industrial ecology constructed in recent years in China, cutting-edge researchers in the field of industrial internet have begun to explore the initial form of establishing an industrial AI big model.
The industrial internet is a product of the deep integration of new generation information technology and manufacturing, which is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry, enhancing industrial competitiveness, and constructing a new development pattern. Zhang Yanhua, a professor of Beijing University of Technology and a member of the Industrial Internet Committee of the China Institute of Communications, said that the current development of the industrial Internet is constantly deepening the chain integration and innovation. Driven by data, the industrial internet promotes the upstream and downstream of supply chain and industrial chain to achieve cross-enterprise collaboration and new mode innovation. The key technologies of the industrial internet will tend to be open-source and ecological. Through open cooperation and technology sharing, the technology threshold and cost of small and medium-sized enterprises will be reduced, and the innovation ability and application efficiency of industrial software will be improved.
Hebei enterprises have actively explored the development of traditional industries through the industrial internet.
Hao Liang, Strategic Director of HBIS Digital Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that the WeShyper industrial internet platform focuses on the upstream and downstream of the steel industry, creating common applications and services in production, energy, environmental protection, safety, sales, procurement, equipment, logistics, carbon peak and carbon neutrality governance and collaborative innovation, and gradually building an industrial innovation base. Facing the context of the steel industry chain, digital transformation services will be provided for industries such as chemical industry upwards and automotive and household appliances sectors downwards. Targeting steel related clusters, precise empowerment to key industries and sub sectors through common services such as carbon neutrality digital platforms, “platform + parks”, and customized services will be provided to enterprises.
In recent years, ENN Group has vigorously pushed forward the transformation of digital intelligence and enhanced the core competitiveness of the industrial internet focusing on the main business scenarios of digital intelligence such as “safety, energy, carbon, and quality”. Zhang Yuying, Executive Vice President of ENN Group, believes that there are three trends in the development of industrial internet.
